Grassy Lake is a hamlet in Alberta, Canada within the Municipal District (M.D.) of Taber.[2] It is located on the Crowsnest Highway (Highway 3), between Burdett and Taber. It has an elevation of 810 metres (2,660 ft).
The hamlet is located in census division No. 2 and in the federal riding of Medicine Hat.
The population of Grassy Lake according to the M.D. of Taber's 2008 municipal census is 596.[3]
As of 2006, Grassy Lake had a total population of 443 living in 110 dwellings. With a land area of 1.61 km2 (0.62 sq mi), it has a population density of 275.9 /km2 (715 /sq mi).[1]
Industry Canada shows that Grassy Lake's greater rural area had a total population of 783 living in 223 dwellings in 2001. With a land area of 455.5 km2 (175.9 sq mi), its greater rural area has a population density of 2.0 /km2 (5.2 /sq mi).[4]
